Question Leather Dye Detail Question

I have a rather elementary question. I would like to darken the straight lines I created which separate the textured panels. So far I've dyed this piece with Fiebings Oil Dye and applied a coat of Leather Sheen. I thought that the Leather Sheen would have darkened the lines but it did not. I can live with it as is but would prefer to darken those detail lines.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

Problem solved!
I re-gouged them to open the pores again and applied dye to the channels with a very fine brush. I'll burnish them after the dye cures.

That would have been my approach. Hard to beat a fine camel hair and a steady hand.
