liner lock info

Hi guy's,

I was hoping somone could help me out with infomation regarding design of a liner lock using a solid spacer material between the liners as the blade stop instead of a stop pin.
(so the knife looks the same as a slip joint when open if that makes sence)

Does the spacer also act as the stop for when the blade is in the closed position,or do I still need a stop pin for this purpose?

I'm a visual person so any pictures or diagrams would help. If you can direct me to any on line info it would be appreciated as I've only been able to find the tutorial by Ray Rogers.

Thanks
Jamie.

Jamie,

Have you considered using an internal "stop pin". Based on what you have written this could be an easy solution to having an hidden pin.
Attached is an example of one.

Thanks for the reply Brett.
That way is definatly whorth investigating, but I think I lack in the skills and equipment department.

I discovered Don Robinsons book on linerlocks, so I'll have a go at that first I think.

Thanks again,

Jamie
