Epic day of work!
In preparation for the Chisolm Trail Show in Wichita on March 5th and 6th, I did the drilling, primary grinding, and most importantly, the heat treating on 14 knives over the past two days.
1080, 1095, 154CM CPM154, 440C and a nice Damascus blend (1084, 15N20, and nickel I think) I don't generally do a 'production run' like that, but I need to make good time on these knives. A more individualized approach will be used for handles and finish work. I have high hopes for a good show. __________________ Andy Garrett https://www.facebook.com/GarrettKnives?ref=hl Charter Member - Kansas Custom Knifemaker's Association www.kansasknives.org "Drawing your knife from its sheath and using it in the presence of others should be an event complete with oos, ahhs, and questions." |
