Waterjet Cutting Services

Hello to everyone. I am David and own Great Lakes Waterjet, inc. I would like to tell you a little about what we can do for you. I have a very good sources for knife blank materials and cut blanks on a regular basis for several large companies and many individual knifemakers. We wish to expand our services and offer this to the person that may only need a couple of pieces or thousands. I can use your drawings or help you design what you need. I use DXF or DWG most of the time. If you just have something in mind, I will be happy to draw it up for you. I will not charge you for set-up or helping with design. I will cut your parts on your approval only. I will save a copy of your file if you need more later or wish to make changes. I WILL NOT SHARE FILES! These are your parts and are confidential. Soon I will post some pics of some blanks to give you an idea of what can be done. Please take the time to visit my website or contact me anytime. Thanks for a great site and thanks everyone for letting me hang out. I look forward to meeting everyone! David.

I can vouch for David. Hes done some work for me, and I am well pleased. He is very easy to work with, and delivers a great product. His prices are better than most.

What Ed said and then some!

These were cut by David and I'm happy as can be. (So are the family members who received them for Christmas)

BTW David, I have some CPM154 on its way to me. I'm going to send you that and more 1095 as well. Thanks!

David, This sounds inviting for those projects that roll around in ones head! I've been wanting to make some Aluminum or micarta heat shields for the base of my carbs. I'll send an e-mail. Thanks

Heres a new project we've been working on. Should be a big help to a lot of makers. If anyone has a design they would like, let me know. They are made from .048" 410 stainless steel. They are ready to install and finish. They will have a very slight burr on the bottom. Some makers have said this helps when fitting. They also will have a very small tab where they were held in the sheet. Thanks to the knifemakers that helped with the designs.

Here are plates for inlaying the shields. These are .125" ATS-34. They are 1" x 3". Shields fit like a glove. So I would say the "kit" thing is a good possibility. Also at the bottom you will see some new designs. Texas Star, Texas, Canadian Maple Leaf, another style of Badge and the Ribbon.
