Which Belt type do you perfer, Zirconium or silicon carbide and why?
I am looking to buy some new belts and I usually buy A/O. Which would you suggest? Zirconium or silicon carbide? Which would last the longest? I have heard that they clog quickly if used on wood.
Thanks, Chuck __________________ A knife is no More Than an Iron Tooth! Visit me at the Chesapeake show Dec 9th. Member of the Knifemakers Guild! Visit my webpage at www.gedraitisknives.com |

In the course grits, I use 3M ceramic belts, the 967, or 977. The cost a bit more, but last 10-20X longer than the others, so you are actually saving $$.
