This is my first photo attempt, so be easy on me please. It is a C1943 Fighter with a six and a half inch blade (back in those days rulers weren't that accurate). Note the very thick red spacers at the hilt, the butt cap that is less than one quarter inch thick and the brass wrist thong link. There is a letter from Bo in Hunt's second book on page 286 to the effect that these were made almost 100% by himself. This knife has outlived it's original sheath and finding a replacement is one of my (many) on-going quests. I like this blade length: Not obtrusive yet long enough to do the job. This is the reason my favorite contempory fighting knife is the Buxton fighter. Another plus for the Buxton is the extended tang.
Thanks, Ron |

Hi Tom!
I don't know if I'm the only one, but instead of your photo, all I see is a box within which is the following message: "Sorry...You are trying to access an image outside if ImageStation.com." Cheers! David __________________ It takes less effort to smile than to frown ! |
