De todas maneras el acabado final no parece para nada hecho a fresa, sino al ácido. ¿Para qué usa usted el micromotor? bueno, en caso de que eso sea un micromotor y no una punta de acero en un mango. Amazing job. I thought mos t of jour job was etched, but I see you working with a micromotor. Could you explain what is it for? Well, in case it is a micromotor an not a simple steel point in a handle. Thanks in advance.

Tell me, was the blade soft when you worked on it or was it hardened later? If so, did this affect the gold in any way. I've heard that there is a technique called vacuum hardening where there is no residue left on the surface and nothing can affect the gold. Was that used here?

Marcus you're right about vacuum heat treating, no oxygen no oxidation.

Marcus, the gold on the knife is gold leaf which is applied as one of the final steps. if you go to the search function and look up Antonio's previous post, there is a more detailed section on applying the gold leaf .
