Just an addendum to the above. Many of you that are on my email notification list have not updated your email addresses. Several have bounced back as undeliverable. If you wish to remain on the notification list you will have to send me your new email.
Any first timers interested can PM me here with their emial address and I'll add to the list. Thanks Folks - see you at Trackrock ps - if you have gone to the Trackrock website to check for dates, their newsletter is incorrect. Please use dates in the above post. As usual, several of us lucky ones will be arriving on Thursday to get in a little additional R&R and hammer time with the owner/manager Frank. You are welcome to join us, but be prepared to work a little. __________________ Carl Rechsteiner, Bladesmith Georgia Custom Knifemakers Guild, Charter Member Knifemakers Guild, voting member Registered Master Artist - GA Council for the Arts C Rex Custom Knives Blade Show Table 6-H |

Hey Guys,
Happy to report that I will be there! I'm bringing the family up, we already got a cabin. I think we'll be up Thursday night, and stay all weekend. It just happens to coincide with my "Spring Break" from Air Command and Staff College. I'm headed to Iraq after I graduate this summer. This is likely to be my last Trackrock hurrah. Can't wait, it's gonna be a blast. See you there. Ryan |

Up Dated Announcement
Hey folks! Trackrock is drawing close. I have made some addendums to the beginning notice and will start a new thread with these slight changes this evening time permitting.
One problem that always comes up about now is a real head count for Satruday's lunch. Anthony does an excellent BBQ but he can't read minds. If you do not confirm by email that you intend to eat BBQ and how many mouths you are bringing, THERE WILL NOT BE A PLATE FOR YOU! Anthony does this at cost not for profit and he should not be expected to go in the red due to someone elses' poor social skills. Please cooperate. Please do not assume that I know how many you have in your family or group. I will need to know by the end of this week latest. Thank you. __________________ Carl Rechsteiner, Bladesmith Georgia Custom Knifemakers Guild, Charter Member Knifemakers Guild, voting member Registered Master Artist - GA Council for the Arts C Rex Custom Knives Blade Show Table 6-H |

TrackRock
Avery and I arrived this p.m. We stopped by the barn for the GCKG Directors' Meeting and a great supper for all that were there. Thanks Carl for setting this up. It was great to have a hot meal after all those hours on the road and the trip over the mountain. Pretty as those things are, fear still strikes at my heart as I cross them. I keep making myself have to cross the mountains so I won't become a "travel wimp".
It is always good to see everyone at the meetings. John, I'm sorry you won't be there. I was hoping Harry would come to keep Avery company. Mr. Sandy, I am looking forward to seeing you and Karla. It has been a while since she has been at TrackRock. My John always loved looking at the work you and she both do. I hear Rick Lowe is going to be on site tomorrow with some of his latest work. I will be trying to get photographs of those. Any daggers Rick? There is lots of "business" to tend to and Carl has a great schedule set up for demos and the like. I hope all you guys can make it. See ya'll tomorrow. |
