Up to 12 members now.

Not sure where to go with mine yet but it's starting to get cool enough to get back into the garage. I just have to fit it in between Korean class three nights a week.

Language or food? I guess either would be pretty interesting, but not sure if I'd want to do it 3 nights a week.

I am still working on design too. What type of knife do you guys think a fat jolly guy would carry anyway?

Language. The Reserves plan to send me to Korea for 3 weeks each year.

I figure it might be a good idea to know some of the language.

And a scandi of course

Sorry to hear that.

I was just checking in on how things are going. I'm sorry I haven't been around much but it has been one crisis after another. latest is a sewer backup taking out the carpet in the dining and living room. Since we were going to replace the floor eventually with wood so we didn't see any reason to put down cheap carpet and than rip it up in a year or two to replace with wood so we went straight to wood. We choose solid bamboo so I will be using the scaps on knife handles like I did with the kitchen kith.

I will have mine done here in a couple weeks so I wanted to check in.

Jim

Jim I am out also. We are in the middle of a big move. Actually I will not be to far from you. I took a new job in Crowley and next weekend is the actual move. So it will be at least another month before I will even be able to think about working on a knife. My shop/garage is filled to the ceiling with boxes for the last month. So between working, packing and working the ER I have had not time and now no shop. I truely hate to miss out on this, I hope eveyone has a great time with it.

Sorry to hear that Wade.

Anyone else? With the lack of response I'm thinking this one is a dead horse?

Jim

Jim,
I'm still "in". I've got 5 done and a couple more in the process. The five done are integrals (my first) and am not sure they're up to snuff for a KITH, will have to see how these other two (not integrals) turn out so I can decide which one goes to the KITH and which go to family members for Christmas presents. You know, the family will like anything I send them so the best one goes to the KITH. Have been kind of struggling to come up with a "Kris Kringle" theme that makes any sense. It may be more in the spirit of the season than anything else that my submission is a Kris Kringle inspired design.

Cheers,
ML

I'm still around if you decide to keep it plugged in - if not, no problem.

I'm out also - swine flu hit the house and I've been out of commission for the last few weeks. I thought I might be able to get a smaller blade done, but it's not looking good at this point.

Well guys just got to say it...

I think this is a dead horse here. We've had more people that have ran into problems than can make it. I think it would be best if we shut this one down and maybe try an get together later on a different one.

I hate to hear it, but probably for the best. Maybe we can start up a Valentine's day KITH - purple heart handle material required of course....

Have a great Turkey Day!
