I want to add a 'wave' to a Damascus folding knife

My Goal:

...there are more than a few ways this could be done and there are pros and cons to each, I imagine. I was hoping someone in here might tell me how they might go about it.

I know it will devalue the knife, but as long as it doesn't warp the blade or do something else that weakens it, I don't really care - the knife is for me, I don't buy and sell things like this. That said, it might be possible to remove (unscrew?) the thumb actuating studs and use the holes as a place to attach a 'hook' to a bracket, and just bolt it on.

I dont have the knife yet so I cant say for certain those come off, but assuming they do, maybe that is the best way to modify the knife without actually altering/damaging anything. (BTW, it has studs on both sides.)

Actually, the only way I can see it being done, and still keep the knife's folding action fully functional is to build a whole new blade. I suspect the thumbstuds have been "red" loctited in place, which usually means you wreck something trying to get them off. The other aspect with a folder is the EXACT clearances required....anything that meets or goes between the liners must be dead on thickness matching the pivot area....otherwise there are major issues.

Another problem I see is with the "hook" your gona tear up a bunch of pants pockets.
