Gon Blast
The folks at Georgia Outdoor News , have asked us " the Ga. guild " to come down to Macon and set up a couple of tables to inform people who we are and what we do in the knifemaking world . The Blast will be Aug 7,8,9 at the Macon Centraplex . It will start about 3:00 friday afternoon , and go thru sunday . I just wanted to invite anyone who would be interested in coming out to see what we are all about , to come out and visit our tables and say hello , and check us out .
The GON BLAST is about anything that has to do with the outdoors . Steve Burch {GON }was kind enough to invite us to attend this event , and promote our guild . Scott __________________ Scott Davidson |

I thought Scott or Will would chime in and get everyone updated but they haven't so I'll give a short report.
The GON folks were good hosts and drew a pretty good crowd and a BUNCH of folks stopped by the Guild booth and visited for a while. Many of them were impressed that there were people really making knives and not just knife shaped objects. We might even see a few of them get in touch with us for more info on the Guild and actually making knives for themselves. Too soon to tell. Scott, Will, & I were at the booth all weekend and probably a dozen other members came and stayed for all or most of one day. Sorry I can't list all the names but I didn't write them down and I would miss more than I got if I started listing people. Just know that there was good participation by Guild members and we all had a good time visiting and talking about knives to anyone who stopped long enough to be spoken to. Hope to see everyone at John's Carey __________________ Everything you do says something about who and what you are so ALWAYS sign your work with excellence. Just checked it out . Thanks Carey for covering the info , good job ! I think i sharpened so many knives , i dreamed about sharpening knives that nite . As Carey said , lots of people were interested to see what we do . Most could not believe that we take a piece of steel and turn out what we do . We invited several to the Aug meeting , we will see what happens . Thanks to all who came out to support the guild . I have signed us up for the event next year also , since we had the responce from the public that we did . Scott
