All quiet in the shop
Not much has been happening here in the last few days
I treated myself to a new camera for Christmas, a Nikon D300 and have been messing around with CS2. The hammer is a Pilkington 1cwt. Mick. |

My husband would be very jealous of your shop, especially that anvil and hammer. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Have fun with the new camera as well. Post some of your work when you have time. |

Great photo, composition and lighting.
Wondering how much that anvil weighs? __________________ Happy Hammering, wear safety glasses. Gene Chapman Oak and Iron Publishing www.oakandiron.com/ |

Gene, I think the anvil is about 4.5cwt. The face is 23 x 6". It certainly is a big lump. I have a Peter Wright anvil as well thats about half the size. I don't use it much as it rings like a bell and gets on my nerves after a while.
When I first started pattern welding I had this anvil plough ground on the face so it is perfectly flat, I needed all the help I could get in the early days. Mick. |

NICE pic...and SUPER nice shop. My hubby would be green with envy. I hope he sees this pic and sees how you have everything all neat and tidy and organized.
