Need Micarta help

I want to make the hilt components for a gladius out of black micarta but can't find pieces big enough. I figure I need two blocks 3X2X2 for the guard and pommel and a piece 4 1/2X1 1/2X1 /2 for the grip. Does anyone make pieces of this size? If not, is it feasible to glue smaller pieces together to get the desired size? If so, what glue or epoxy should be used? Thanx for any help.

You might contact the suppliers and see if they can get the size you need. I can't see any reason that you can't make up bigger pieces yourself by glueing. Handle materials are commonly put together with epoxy. A friend user Gorilla Glue successfully also.

Hope that helps.

Thanks - I think I will get some epoxy and go the glue route.
