Books
I am just beginning to start my journey as a bladesmith. Im in the middle of getting everything together, hopefully by spring Ill be able to rock n roll. This is a fairly in depth trade, as I have recently discovered. Are there any books, or websites, that you would recommend for a beginner.
Thanx in advance!!!!!! Scotty :evil |

Welcome Scotty,
You could check out The American Bladesmith Society......They have a school in Arkansas.......If you are at all serious about this I can't recomend the school enough. This web-site has a ton of info.....if you have a question try thr blue search button, more than likely there will be info on it. A great book for the beginer would be Wayne Goddards "The $50.00 knife shop"......lot's of good things in this book. Good luck, and lets see some of your work! Scotty,
Welcome and enjoy. You might want to check out the "a sermon for newbie?s" thread at the top. It has the most comprehensive list of resources in one place. Jim |
