Blade Warpage

I have completed a few knives now and am making progress. I am learning strictly on my own and through lots of reading here and through Wayne Goddards books which have been invaluable.
Today I went back to one of my first blades that had warped during heat treat. The warpage came from uneven heating in my first mini forge (which didn't work very well) leaving the blade wavy.
I annealed the blade and got almost all the warp out but there is still some very slight waviness in the blade edge.
Is there a way to remove this or will I have to grind it out. Also would you recommend getting it out prior to heat treat or wait and see if it changes after heat treat and only doing the grind once. I like the blade and don't want to change the profile any more than needed.

If the edge of the blade got wavy during HT it probably means the edge was too thin at the time the HT was done. You'll want to leave it thicker in the future. Grinding after the blade has been HTed also allows you to remove any pitting or decarb that may have occurred so that's actually a bonus.

The wave is there and it won't go away unless you grind it out. If you grind it out, I'd do it before the next HT....
