Ackerforge Hunt of a Lifetime Bowie
Here's a knife I just finished for the good folks up at Hunt of a Lifetime. Tim turned me onto these folks. They are the real deal. The knife was hand forged from 5160 spring steel. It was forged down to the edge, with virtually no stock removal--I only cleaned it up a little near the edge to display the temper line (not clear in photo). It is 11 inches in overall length. The handles are oiled walnut. The photo leaves a lot to be desired. Will try to get a better one under better lighting conditions.

As a Bowie lover I take my hat off to you once again Dana. It sounds like a small thing but the most impressive thing to me is the false edge. It must have a bitch to forge just so.

Now THAT is a nice piece of work, very nice indeed.
Dana, you're going to make someone rather happy with that knife. Some very nice deatils there, love the false edge and the guard and that walnut looks so good.

Thanks. I suggested they raffle it off--sell dollar or 2 dollar chances on it and then have a drawing. I hope it makes them a ton of money--they really do a good work. Grips the heart every time I visit their site.

That looks like one down home, hard workin' blade Dana. Love that blackened finish.
