Talking ...the happy hooker and her mates...

Here's what I've been working on lately. I think I'm gonna do a narrow tang bowie style with axis stag roll handle for the KITH yet- haven't done one of those yet - any suggestions?

When I tested the D-2 hunter, I got the giggles , that thing is scary sharp- Kudo's to TKS for the HT on that one! I think I'll be doing some more with D-2 but man that stuff eats sandpaper for lunch!

#1 - the hunter's companion
1/8" D-2 - 8 3/4" OAL, 4 1/4" blade
Axis stag handles, brass pins
sheath fitted with a magnesium/flint fire starter

#2- the black hooker
5/32" 0-1 - 6 3/4" OAL, 3 1/4" blade
Buffalo horn handle with crimson liners, SS pins

#3= my personal EDC
1/8" ATS-34 - 5 5/8" OAL, 2 5/8" blade
Rosewood handle, brass pins

Those look great, Dennis! Can't wait to see what you put together for the KITH.

Is that a new logo as well?

yep, new logo! I built an etcher from a tutorial Robert Dark led me to and IMG did the graphics/stencil for me by my design. I think I finally got the procedure down for my unit. Didn't help that I had the AC/DC and DC switch labeled wrong...

Thumbs up Etcher tutorial

Here is the link to the etcher tutorial-

I purchased all but a couple of the items that I already had like the cord and rubber feet.
Cost me about $50. Another $45 for stencils, got 6 stencils that can be used numerous times- like 50+ each. When more are needed, a sheet of 6 cost $10 from IMG. Go to IMG website, call and talk to Patrica. She knows what we need.

Stamping advice

Frank, I have used stamps also and sometimes still do if requested- go to Brownells.com and look at thier stamp guide kit. It is made for stamping gun barrels but I have used it with great success on flat surfaces. Just clamp it down with the knife on a hard surface and stamp away, it keeps your letters evenly spaced and in a straigt line. A handy fellow could probably make one like it but since I got the one I use free, I haven't tried. I guess if he asked for it back I'll have to give it a go.
