A camp knife I just finished

Hi guys. I've been busy in the shop trying to fill some orders and also building for a couple shows so I haven't been on here much. But I thought I'd share a few pics of one I just got done for a customer in Michigan. A good basic camp utility knife. He does a lot of hunting and game processing too so I kept that in mind when I did the design.

Any comments are welcome.

Specs:

3/16 1080 steel, edge quenched
10 5/8" overall with a 5 1/2" cutting edge
Desert ironwood scales
Corby bolts
1 mosaic pin
Tapered tang
Leather sheath

John Very nice
I like everything about it and a nice sheath also.
If you don't mind me asking where did you get that mosaic pin,
that's a little differnt design. I like it.
Great work all around

Great job on the camp knife! I second the question about the pin. Never seen one quite like it. What kind of leather did you use for the sheath?

Thanks for the comments guys.

About the mosaic pin, I made it myself. I got tired of paying $35/foot or more for mosaics so I decided to make my own. I like to use them like this sometimes for accent pieces. We happen to have a local hobby shop that for some reason stocks all those little tiny parts so it's pretty handy for me to make them.

I don't enjoy making the pins. It's really a pain in the butt however it saves me money and I can build them to suit the knife I'm working on.

Edited to add: The sheath is 9/10 oz. vegetable tanned cow shoulder.
