Awesome Tai Goo knife FS
This one dates from about the mid 90's and is a consigned piece. The history and how he made this one is amazing, and will pass on some of Tai's info to buyer, some may not be palatable in open forum. I will say it's a very nice piece at a very nice price!
So . . Stats: Blade Length: 8? Handle Length: 6? OAL: 14? Blade Steel: A2 Handle Materials: Carved lamb bone, agave cactus cordage, knapped arrowhead, coinage, teeth, and cutler?s resin. Extra information: This is the only one I have seen with the forward sweeping design. The blade is forged to shape and is seated in the handle with Tai?s cutler?s resin mix. The bolster is made of the same resin with cut coin inlays -- silver on the sides and copper on the front and back. The copper piece on the front is where he chiseled his maker?s mark. The handle is dyed with cochineal. The cordage on the handle is made from agave cactus dyed with cochineal and sealed with pinion rosin. On the back of the handle, held by the cordage, is a small arrowhead knapped by Tai. Between the bolster and the cordage are 5 small tooth inlays. (Not human) Price $1200.00 + shipping [img]http://www.fototime.com/%7BCBF88F52-114C-4500-869A-A8EC7FC4CDE4%7D/picture.JPG __________________ Peace Paul Vandine |
