$30.00 Post Vise

Driving back from our Montana vacation we stopped in Soap Lake, Wa. in a junk shop on Main Street about two blocks from the public beach, there was a post vise, not bad looking on a wood post, with a price of $30.00 on it, our car was loaded and no room, anyway I don't need any more vises and vices, any of you hot iron pounders in the vicinity, go for it, it was on the left inside the front door visible from the window. Bought three hammer heads for $1.00 each there, a small, and medium ball pein and about a 2 1/2# abused cross pein.

Good Luck

Gene

Did they have any vices for sale, Gene? I'm always in the market for a new vice.

Who knows, the proprieter was a tall lanky individual, maybe fifty, weather beaten, who had the shakes and could barely write out the receipt, the front of the shop was seperated from the back by a half drawn curtain, the back seemed to have more junk than the front and there appeared to be people back there, in the gloom. We bought the hammers, skeedadled out, and got back to our road trip. Funny, the movie Deliverance came to mind while were in there!!!
