Complex Fighter Custom Knife - Lloyd Hale

Now, that?s a fighter. This big (15 1/4 inch) knife with it?s hollow ground blade, has a handle of great complexity, consisting of stag horn, abalone inlays, file worked spacers, stacked leather, and a carved pommel. Fileworked blade spine.
Lloyd is considered by some as the father of the art knife. For years a few knifemakers went to gun shows only to sell hunters and other utility knives. Lloyd was asked by one hunter if he could embellish a skinner with some chips of stone or whatever. Lloyd showed up at the gun show and was laughed at by his fellow makers. Lloyd got 15 orders at that show for dolled up knives and after that every maker started crafting dolled up knives.
