Help with knife design.
I am going to make this knife next week, and wanted some input before I made it. What whould you do to this knife to make it better?

The handle blade junction is an area of concern both in comfortable handling ( seems very small requiring a tighter than normal grip to hang on to it) and the square cut notches for the finger will act as stress risers (could be starting points for stress cracks). Changing the notches to round bottom notches would eliminate this problem.
Otherwise quite attractive. __________________ george tichbourne www.tichbourneknives.com sales@tichbourneknives.com |

Thanks, this is what I need. I will modify this design, and post it later.

Not necessary to make the thumb rest smooth just use a round file to cut the notches instead of a square file.

I would personally use some file work on the thumbrest (roped design or something) and grind the bevels on a 150mm wheel insted of a flatgrind. But I guess taste differs...
