Wink SWAGMAN Hunter / Utility - As Simple as it Gets...

The lines don't get any simpler than this... This was meant as the compact companion to my Bush Buddy camp knife. The blade is only 1/8inch thick stock O-1 carbon tool steel and the flat grind is very thin (see the inset detail). I like the idea of a utility knife that can be used in the kitchen. The blade is slightly skinner shaped to offset the cutting belly so that it clears your fingers when slicing.

The handles are (natural) Kingwood which I like. The simple straight pattern is nice on a simple knife and it is naturally very tough, stable and oily - it wouldn't take a Danish oil finish. When tested in water, the wood fibres wouldn't wick up and any dulling of the surface was fixed by simple giving it a good dry and rub with a cloth to bring it back to a waxy polished appearance.

Hope you like it. Thanks for looking. Jason.

simple and to the point, clean lines! Just the way I like it! great littel user! I like the handle seems to have a nice contour to it.

Thumbs up

Jason,

Very appropriate name for a knife.

I can see it being used while camping beside a billabong, hopefully the owners won't be knocking off sheep and commiting suicide as well.

Kingwood is that local or imported - if local what else is it called.
