Two questions
Hey, I'm wondering what type of sheath would be good for a small dagger. For this knife I tried a double welt sheath, but it looked bulky due to the extra seam material on both sides. Does anybody use a wrap-around sheath with a single seam in the back? My second question is about types of thread. I use artificial sinew, which is strong, but I don't like it as much for smaller sheaths where I want the stitching to be small and unobtrusive. Is the linen thread sold in Tandy strong enough? Josh, if it were me, I would make the same sheath, but using thinner leather for both the sheath and the welt. And, yes, linen thread is plenty strong enough. It's all I use. |
