First attempt at knive making..Drop Point Hunter
This was my first attempt of making a knife. I had the blade made in Idaho and did the rest of the work. The sheath was another first attempt. To make it more veristal, I also installed snaps on the belt loop for easy on and off. How did I do?

Looks like you got a good hunter to me. What are the scales made from?

Looks good, a whole lot better than my first knife. You will probably find that after you handle it for a bit you will want to make another with some slight modification. Don't do it. Thats how the addistion starts, next thing you know you will be buying equipment.

Very nice handle. I love the look of the Burl. The sheath alreay has a worn in look to it. How much play does the knife have in the sheath? I would be afraid the snaps would wear on the handle. Be careful.
Thanks for sharing. Reid Allen. |

It is very snug fit. Basically no play at all, even with the top snap undone. Comes out of sheath smoothly as well. Thanks for the reply.
