Friction Folder
Hey all. Just thought I'd post some pics of my friction folder prototype. It was originally inspired by frontier-style pieces but I tried to make it "my own". I wanted it to look rustic but with some contemporary stylings. I'm pretty happy with how it came out. Buttery smooth action. I may do a thing or two different when I add it to my catalog, but all & all I think its a keeper.
Specs: sharpened edge length: 3 inches differentially hardened 1095 (antique finish) Stabilized buckeye burl with copper liners Stainless pivot & pins leather belt sheath More pics and details can be seen here: http://www.dervishknives.com/friction.htm Comments welcome. Thanks for looking! |

That's gotta be the beefiest FF I think I've ever seen. It looks great - just enough mix of the traditional and the modern. Nice work!
