I was kinda wondering about maybe enameling the inside with glass? Grind up some Heineken bottles (after pouring out the skunk, of course...Too much good beer where you live to waste time on the cheap crap!) to get that lovely green, then melt into the interior and allow to cool very slowly to keep it from cracking off...

That sounds like a good option to try without any risk of hurting the iron. The glass should bind to the silicas real well.

That is very cool! Glass would be great.....what about pewter or silver?

Dang, Mace, that's a good idea! Tinning it with lead-free pewter or pure tin would be the easiest way to go for sure. Now I just have to make one so I can try...

That would be cool also. I want to make a couple more out of bronze and brass. Titanium was another idea until I priced a 1.5" chunk.

$302 for 12" of 1.5" bar. Alan, if you want to make a Ti one we can split a 12" bar, that would only be $151 each.

I think you're on your own for that one, Brent!
