Un-educated seeks some price advice
Hello
This is my second post today im really looking for some buyers advice.I've been looking around various web-sites for a decent but also senscibly priced combat/utility knife.I really have little insight into the technology that is standard for todays tactical blades (aside from the plastic self draining sheaths) I just wondered if i could get some pointers on tacticals (folders and straight blades/ factory manufactured and kit packages). I Have read some storys about folding tacticals having very unreliable locking mechs and they will tend to fold in with a swift knock to the spine of the blade. And certain synthetic composite grips causing damage to gear from friction. If anyone has experience in this area i would like to hear from you. Any recomendations would also be great I'm stuck to a ?55 budget more or less so anything in that price range would be great. Thanks for your time. |

Most of the people on this forum are interested in making their own knives and may not have the information on production knives that you are seeking. There is a Production Knife forum here on KNET, look at the Forum Jump scroll box at the bottom of this page for help in getting there if you would like to try posting this question over there.
As for folders with locks that let go when hit on the spine, I can only say that's one reason why we make our own. Even so, in your price range I think most production folders are better than that..... |
