Thanks! Those are Aspen trees, also known as "Quaking Aspen" for the sound they make in the wind - because they are so close together. Each stand or group of Aspen are actually one organism and part of the same root and growth system. You can see them better in this image:

I do envy anyone living in Colorado. I've spent many summer vacations in Estes Park and roamed Rocky Mountain Park and hiked quite a few of the trails. It's truly a beautiful place to be. Your pictures take me back in spirit. Thank you for showing them.
