Trackrock Hammer-in, Fall 2008

Hey Folks
Just got the confirmation from Debbie at Trackrock. The official date for the Fall 2008 event is the weekend of September 26, 27, & 28. Make your reservations now so it doesn't sneak up on you.

If things work out, we may have some very special music to accompany our ringing anvils.

I'll be posting more details in the coming months, so pay attention.
Carl Rx

My luck is poop it seems. Our good car just had a transmission meltdown and our crappy car has some serious brake issues. That and my ex-wife seems to think my name is Midas.

I sure had high hopes of making this one , just cant do it .

Take lots of pics

Mark

Well hecky-durn Mark! Was really looking forward to catching up and getting a look at what direction you're creativity is going.

General Note to All:
I had several Trackrock Notices bounce back due to incorrect email addresses. I imagine some of the problem is on my end. If you haven't recieved one I appoligize. Please email me with your current working email so I can up grade and correct my contact list.

Wanted to bring this up current to remind everyone to start packing. I recommend an electro magnet on a hydraulic boom (junkyard style).

Pleas note that time is short to RSVP on the Saturday BBQ.

Just a quick note to anybody going to Track Rock that might be ordering from The BlackSmith Depot. Kayne&Son are only 3 miles from my house and I'd be glad to transport goods and save y'all some freight charges. Don't think my little truck can make it over the hill with a bunch of anvils, so that would be the only disclaimer. See you guys Thursday!
Rick

Rick see if they will loan you one of those induction forges to try out for the weekend. It wouldn't weigh much and you could probably get it in the seat next to you if John's power hammer takes up too much room in the back.

I was thinking more in the lines of that "little" fly press, the one he has on that monolyth of concrete. We could mash anything with that baby!
But then again.........Harry's idea ain't so bad either.

JC, I thought you were a Power Hammer!

See you guys soon.

Carl,

I was hoping I could find a way to make TrackRock this weekend but Avery has a ball game Saturday morning so he and I, along with the rest of the family, will be in Waynesboro for the game. When I told Avery we were going to miss TrackRock he wanted to bail out of the game and head to the mountains. But alas, his mom is a stickler for fulfilling your commitments and since he is quarterback for his team he decided he should stick around for the game---but not till I promised I would not go without him. Football will be over for him the end of October so he is gearing up for Columbus so we will see ya'll there.

We'll definitely miss you and Avery. Commitments are what they are. Tell Avery I'm expecting a win. Hope you are recovering well.
