Linking to events
I was wondering if its alright by the guild and guild members if I were to post a link to or list your upcoming events and hammerins on the southernbladesmiths.com website. As most of our members are scattered all over the south I thought it might be a good way to point them to a group, hammer-in or event that might be local to them.
I wasnt sure where or who to ask about this so I thought I would make a post and see if its ok first. |

James,
I am the Secretary of the Guild and I checked with our new pres, Charlie Mathews, and there are no objections to posting a link - this forum is the best source for news about Guild meetings - or listing Guild events on your website. The Trackrock Hammerins are not an official function of the Guild but is heavily attended by Guild 'hammerheads' and members (at times it seems to be a Guild meeting!). The Trackrock Hammerin is open to the public. Carl Rechsteiner, aka CRex, honcho's the hammerin and always announces in this forum. If he doesn't post here in a day or so, send him a PM or email. Thanks for asking.. hope to meet you in the future. Randy |

Thank you Randy. I'll list your upcoming meetings and Trackrock in our events section.
Speaking of Trackrock I been wanting to go to that event for some time. It never fails tho that it is always happening at about the same time as one of our meetings or the same weekend of Olcmulgee Guilds bladesmithing meeting. |

No problem here with listing the TR Hammerins. Send me your events schedule and I'll adjust TR dates to suit you...........hah, hah. hah! Said with humor, 'cause it just don't work that way as I'm sure you know. Not enough weekends to go around and we all have our priorities (when Momma approves). Acutally Trackrock Campground picks the dates for the HIs and I'm not going to kick their dog. __________________ Carl Rechsteiner, Bladesmith Georgia Custom Knifemakers Guild, Charter Member Knifemakers Guild, voting member Registered Master Artist - GA Council for the Arts C Rex Custom Knives Blade Show Table 6-H |
