Wild Rose by a Landslide!
I can't believe that Wild Rose won by such a large margin this week, as all the photos looked very good. I think the determining factor was all those killer props. Everytime I looked at his image, I saw something new and interesting. Very cool!
Great work everyone! Alex __________________ Alex Whetsell [======]~~~~~~~> Atlantavirtual.com Atlanta NOC |

All the pics were good, but that one was a standout.

Thank you all.
Considering that I did those only after the urging of a few of my fellow sheathmakers I am totally flabbergasted! I thought for sure there were better photos there. I guess it just clicked. Again thank you all and I'm glad you liked it. __________________ Chuck Burrows Hand Crafted Leather & Frontier Knives dba Wild Rose Trading Co Durango, CO chuck@wrtcleather.com www.wrtcleather.com The beautiful sheaths created for storing the knife elevate the knife one step higher. Yes, indeed, Chuck deserves this fine win. I voted for myself just to avoid getting totally skunked, but his image deserved my vote.
I too kept coming back to look at it again and again. It just told a very interesting story. On to week 28! |

Nice work, Chuck! It's fun to learn and submit your work.
Nice to see the new faces amid the old hands and come out smelling like a ....ROSE! Coop |

Talent unlimited----
Chuck Burrows has proven his talent creating fabulous leather tooling and construction of one of a kind sheaths and gun leather. His talent with the written word and ability to paint pictures with words is outstanding----and now he caps all that with photos that tell the story of yet another talent. He gives unstintingly of his time and knowledge to all in a modest, unassuming fashion and is a credit and asset to the CKD.

glad you took the prompting, chuck. congrats.
i recall recently commenting on one of the entries that i don't care for knife photos that are too 'busy'. in contradiction, i really liked this one, and wondered why? i'm thinking along the lines that alex mentioned - killer props! keep it up (as if you have nothing else to do) __________________ wayne things get better with age ... i'm approaching magnificent |
