Cedar Patch/ Utility knife
This is my 5th knife. Blade was purchased from www.texasknife.com- yeah, I'm getting towards doing some stock removal soon, but I want to get confident before I start tearing up good steel.
Anyway, here is my latest knife. I built this to trade with a guy on a gun oriented message board for a scope mount. The blade is the "runt" norwiegan steel and the only thing that was not found/ recycled. The ferrule is a 12 Gauge shotgun shell case head, the spacer is a leather scrap from the back of a pair of jeans, and the handle is some scrub cedar (ash juniper) from a vacant lot. Sorry for the low quality pics, but I wanted to show off. Here are the supplies: Here is it 'halfway' done: And the final product: Here is the case head ferrule. Could not come up with a better solution then epoxy to fill the primer pocket: __________________ -Aaron ______________________________________ "It's a shame that Stupidity isn't painful" |
