Making a holder for a stamp

I have started to stamp my name and while I do have one holder made for me some time ago, I was wanting to get a new stamp with only three letters and maybe a new holder too. These seem quite expensive to me and I was wondering just how difficult it would be to build one. This is the place to get help, so I am here...

This is just something I have been thinking about but in die making we use metal interchangeable stamps. Try to google argon metal stamps. You will find a catalog on their web site with all different sizes and different holders. You can make a handle to hold for stamping. Industrial supply places stock most of that stuff around here. They even make custom stamps.
Hope this helps and maby someone else may have a better idea or source.

If you have the tools it's very easy to build (milling machine, drill press, and tap/die set) This link have a pic of the one I built.....one side for my rectangle shaped name stamp, and the other for my round MS stamp.
