Question about lockback tutorial.

I have read (and reread) your tutorial. One thing that is not clear to me is the pivot pin for the lock bar. On the finished knife it is not visible.

Did you cut it down to just go through the liners?
Is it held in place by the scales?

The rest is clear as a bell and I am preparing (getting the correct bits and reamers) to start my first folder. I probably would have waited a long time if not for this great explaination of the process.

In the knife in the turorial the bar pivot pin is blind, I have drilled into the scales about 2mm (.080") and made in pin to suit (trial and error) and the pin is held in place by the liners (ie the spacer pins and the blade pvot pin), however you can drill all the way thru and have a pin that shows, just give it a LIGHT peen when assembling the piece.
