Finishing ???
Im getting ready to make my first knife sheath - I have Chucks videos which are Great!
I made a stiching pony today- I bought some veg. tanned leather on ebay a while back 7oz. I hope it is heavy enough ??? I want to make a pouch sheath for a hunting knife like the one in Chucks video . I want to do a GOOD natural finish ( no dye ) I think in the video he used Bag Kote ? I can not find it in the Tandy catalog. Does Tandy carry anything like it ? Thanks Ron

Ron; Fiebing's Tan Kote is a similar product that is still listed by Leather Factory/Tandy. The stock number is 2220-01 for the 4oz. and 2220-03 for the quart size. Weaver Leather (1 800 693-2837) list's Fiebing's Bag Kote in their catalog (Pg. 193) stock number 50-1925 quart for $9.71 but they have like a $50.00 minimum order or they charge an extra $7.50 service fee on top of shipping.
