Dennis Miller

HooRah for Dennis Miller!!
He said recently on his show, regarding the
judges who
declared the Pledge
of Allegiance unconstitutional:
"So, Your Honor, the Pledge is
unconstitutional because it
says 'Under
God'. Guess that means when you were sworn in
with your hand
on a Bible,
and at the end of your oath repeated, 'So Help
Me God' that
makes your job
unconstitutional, therefore you have no job, which means your
ruling doesn't
mean s---."

Isn't that the truth.

To bad may of these judges are appointed for life. It would be interesting to see how long they lasted if they relied on popular vote.

I've always been a Dennis Miller fan. To the casual observer, on the surface he may appear to be rather "left" in his philosophy. But as you've just pointed out in your observation, he leans less to the left or right as he does to just plain common sense. He'll look at something stupid and without a care towards "what's popular" he'll tell you "that's really stupid!" (of course using his own special brand of vernacular in his choice of words).

It's a shame his talk show never took off. His humor tends to be too highbrow for most of the major network's audiences.
Happily for us, he found HBO.

Dennis (not Miller)

Yeah Baby!

Now, if you could just get him to leave Monday Night Football the world would be alright!

He's gone.

He was replaced by John Madden.
