RMK Website Changes
Hi all!
I was just looking at the RMK website which was recently revised and I noticed some significant changes. It appears that the "Non-Catalog" items are no longer there. I wonder if this means that these knives can no longer be ordered. Also, the waiting period for ordering a knife directly from the shop has increased to 58 months, or from today to August 2011. The contact email address is no longer there, but rather a send button is used instead. I presume this is to try and cut down unnecessary correspondence from annoying customers like me. Anyway, I just thought I'd point out these changes. If anyone spots anything else, please let us know. As an additional note, I've see that the two authorized RMK dealers who maintain their own websites, namely Rick Ward and Nordic Knives have also increased their wait times to 38 months and 19 months respectively. I'm sure the Captain will tell us what his current waiting period is. I don't really have any idea what the significance of this all means, except that for those ordering patience is definitely a virtue. Cheers! I noticed the same thing this is the Reply I got from Gary. So I sent for a new Catalog Date: Wed Oct 18 11:24:14 2006 From: Gary Randall Subject: RE: [Webmessages] What happened to the Non Catalog knife section As you can see we have a very limited web site and do not even list extra features. We hope that the individual requests the printed catalogue. Since we add and delete from the non-catalogue folder we choose not to confuse the issue further by listing on the site. __________________ Dick Roberts RKS 535 |

Hi Dick!
Thanks for clearing up this Non-Catalog "mystery". What Gary says makes perfect sense to me. Cheers! David __________________ It takes less effort to smile than to frown ! |
