Info on Bob Jones...
I was wondering if Knifemaker Bob Jones... of Alberquerque NM has a website, or a e-mail address? I recently picked up 1 of his Knives... and would like some info. He does great work...

EPB,
I can't give you any info, but I can support you in your praise. I have had a chance to handle and photograph a number of his lockbacks, and they are a tempting purchase. So tell us, what did YOU get? ![]() Coop |

Fixed Blade
Hi Coop... It is an Upswept Skinner... with Tiger Maple scales... It has filework all the way from the belly of the Blade... all the way around to the end of the Spine... A2 Steel... and I recently called Bob up, and he says it's at least 15 years old... due to the Brass Bolsters, and Filework.
I also just got a nice Skinner, made by Ron Brown of Vienna Illinois. Anyone know of this maker, or know a contact to him...? Are your from IL too Coop? __________________ It aint braggin if you back it up... Last edited by EightPointBuck; 08-12-2003 at 05:49 PM. |
