First time with damascus

Well here is my first damascus knife , when I first found this wonderfull world of knifemaking , and I saw my first damascus knife , I knew that someday I would make one. Here it is : Thunderforged Damascus blade , Nick Smolen damascus guard , Oryx horn handle , mosaic pin from Barry Posner. 2 1/4" blade , 5 3/4" OAL , I absolutley love the way it turned out. I have 6 more inches of the stuff left ?????

Very nice work. I'm curious as to how you fixed the bolsters in place.

Thanks guys , Paul I WILL be getting back to you on this , Trenton : I drilled about 3/4 way through the bolster with a 3/16" bit then used 1/8" rod , drilled the blade 1/8",I used the dremel to Wallow out the inside of the bolster to make the inside bigger than the hole , then I made the pin stock look like a screw ( a 1/8" machine screw would work better but I didn't have any ) I then used the old faithfull Devcon 5 min epoxy. This stuff is really strong.
I like the way the black stands out , but on the next one I'm going to try and keep a lighter look. A friend gave me some exotic sheep horn from Texas , has a light honey color , I have some Axis deer horn that stays real white too,and try not to get the etch so dark. We'll see what comes out of the ol garage next. I have about 12 various knives to biuld for X-mas , nobody orders in advance , so I'm gona be busy for a few days.
