History Channel

Just a note to all knife people, I saw while looking at the tube that the History Channel will be airing a show titled "Axes, Swords, and Knives" on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 9:00pm.
I'm assuming that is eastern time.
I'm going to take a look, the preview looked inticing.

I've seen the show, and though it could be even better, it's still a full hour of cutlery. Lots of history.

No custom knives or makers, but an interesting segment on a swordsmith/blacksmith (Champagne?) where we follow from forge to final finish. Sort of.

Also an interesting segment about knife/sword fighting with some pretty fancy footwork.

Then we drone on with a principle of Victorinox bragging about his wares. Snooze. Wait till you see the inside of some factory in Japan. It looks like an Intel facility!

I say: SEE IT!

Coop; Thanks for the skinny. All I saw was a 15 second sound bite on the tube. I'll have a look but sometimes my attention gets a bit lost(I think about making the ####ed things way too much)
Good to hear from you again, was up?

I saw this last year. Not a 100% fantastic show (a little slow at times) but definately in the 90%. If you haven't seen it I would recommend at least taping it and watching later, or just wait until next year. . .

It starts off with a bit ceramic knives then has a sword maker, some info on axes and a bit on those swiss army knives.
