PSF 27 steel? Anyone use it?

PSF 27

I'm looking into this steel.

http://sb-specialty-metals.com/grades/psf27

According to this spec sheet, PSF 27 has similar toughness to A2 but has twice the edge retention and 12% chromium too boot. I'm liking that. It appears to be a spray form of D2.

How does it sharpen?

Anyone have any insights? Thanks in advance.

Lots of carbon, lots of vanadium - good luck grinding that stuff!

The web site mentions that it can be used for knives, but they don't sell a size that would be convenient. (I see 24x72.)

This is the first time I've seen this alloy mentioned on TKN.
