SS 2.0 Supersquirt knife kit
Building a SS 2.0 Supersquirt knife kit. The Push Button Lock spring appears to be too long to allow assembly of the knife without the blade binding. Anyone have experience with Classic Knife Kits? Any suggestions how to proceed would be most welcome. Thanks

How did you determine that the spring length was the problem? Have you assembled it without the spring to see if it recesses deep enough to allow the blade to clear?
You can also take off a little of the bottom of the button by sanding it with something flat, if you find that there is a bur or manufacturing ridge on the bottom of the button stopping it from clearing. Describe what's happening in detail and we'll try to help!! Tip for all: A lot of users polish the flange on the button anyway. This helps smooth the action on most button lock knives. __________________ Alex Whetsell [======]~~~~~~~> Atlantavirtual.com Atlanta NOC |
