Newb

New knife maker hear. I just took a cource from Ed Storch and would love to show you my knife but it looks like it will take a few more posts to be allowed.
I do hobby gunsmithing, CNC milling, manual lathe work. Have done some aluminum casting so I am familiar with bruner designs and refractory.
There are some fine craftsman on the forum.
Im looking forward to being a member.

Great knife. I wish my first knife turned out that nice. Just wondering if you are hooked on knife making now. Seems like when you build one it just fuel for the fire.
Welcome to the forum. This is a great place to get all the info needed on knife making.

Ya Jim I'm defiantly craving more.
Trying to decide what type of 2x72 belt sander to go with and start collecting goodies to build one.
Found some nice coco bola and osage orange locally. My parrents broght back some ironwood years ago that I ended up with.
I will have to make a trip to Edmonchuck to inproheat for refractory.
Planning on making a forge that preheats combustion air with hot flugas that is comming out of the forge to make it more efficient. It might be something new to add to the community as I haven't seen one using that technology.
I see you are hosting a hammer in I will have to look at my schedule. Do you think a freightliner and 40' trailer will fit in your yard? LOL
Hears a pick of some CNC work just for fun.
Stephen
