any good kitchen knifes
hi guys,
im in need of some nice kitchen knives and thought that rather than buying them i should make a kit blade. Can any one recomend a good quality one i dont want any cheap junk, im really after a utility blade a cooks blade and maybe a chopper. has any one used the japanese blades from jantz that have the layers of stainless and look a little like damascus. Hi Brett,
I purchased one of the kitchen blades from Jantz. The 6 inch, sandwich blade VG10 with 33 layers. The blade was extremely sharp and good looking. The layers of stainless are not as obvious as you might think, almost have to get the lighting right to see the layers. It's one of my favorite kitchen knifes. I think you'll be happy with them. You might want to purchase one and see if you like it before making the plunge for three. I've posted this knife before, somewhere, I guess it won't hurt to post it again: Mike |

Brett,
I've used the santoku from that series and my wife and I love it. It's part way down the page here: http://6footover.blogspot.com/ Casey |
