windows 98 to windows 2000

Hi gang,can someone tell me what's involved in making the switch from 98 to 2000? I've been thinking about this,and now that I've bought a printer that don't like my computer,I think it's time.Thanx for any info...computer dumb...T-wolf.

Amigo, windows 2000? Windows has been upgraded 5 times since 98. Most people are either on XP or Vista.

Most of the changes on Microsoft's software is either cosmetic or stuff that you will never use. Windows still functions pretty much like it has for 14 years. Your printer probably uses a USB port, while older ones used the RS232 Serial port. USB is much, much better and automatically adjusts to whatever is connected to it.

Well Rick,I guess I'm further behind in the times than I thought I was!I noticed the other day I paid a dollar for the same candy bar I used to get for a nickel...PROGRESS! Thanks,pard

Tom if you are running Windows 98, what speed is your computer, a 486? I believe it has to be atleast a Pennium II to be able run Windows 2000.
