Hey Guys ...

Here the first finished sample of the Delta 5. I thought you might like to take a look at the bowie version.

I really like this knife!!!

New Delta 5's

I really like everything about (that we know so far) this series of knives. With all the different variables, a person should be able to turn out everything from down and dirty users to wallhangers.
Gorgeous!

Thats a really great kit. You could easily turn it into a sub-hilt fighter too.

Jimmy,
Yes you can make a sub hilt with this one.
This knife is set up to do the following in the condition you will get the kit. All the holes are in place and correct to fit each configuration.

1. Make it a double bolster model.
2. Make it a single bolster model.
3. Make it a full handle with NO bolsters.
4. The top guard can be ground off to make it a single guard on the bottom only.
5. Both guards can be removed to make it a slim line fighter.
6. The knife comes in 4 differnet blade styles:
A. Double ground bowie style.
B. Double ground spear point style.
C. Single ground bowie style.
D. Single ground drop point style.

This knife sports a 3/16 blade thickness and has a very high satin finish on the blade. It will come with all of the hardware to do any of the above.
As Jimmy said a sub hilt is great add on that you can do yourself.

Dean,
The other versions with the full grinds not double grinds are more like a chute knife.
There will be pics up soon!

Very nice looking knives! Question; Are the blades in the "as delivered" condition as far as finish, or were they polished more during assembly?

Thumbs up

Hi Rick,

These blades were finished by the craftsman. No, they come with a smooth finish, but nothing like you are seeing in these images.

And that's the benefit of doing good work yourself--you really know how you made a difference. Hand sanding or buffing is part of the task.

Coop

Thank's Coop, that's what I figured. I've had my best results when I take the time to final polish the blades. Takes a lot of time on the hardened stainless but it's worth it in the end. I have found the concave ground blades are the hardest to keep looking right and it's a little scary working right next to what is usually a very sharp edge.
