my lil mishap was with an aluminium oxide wheel.
As for my skills with grinding, they arent phenominal
On a slightly different topic, i could aneal the blade to soften it, do what i may what it,then temper it back to a RC of 50 at least
but i dont remember much of my heat treatment, would of preferred it being a 4140 steel but i guess i can make due with what there.
As for the chip in the blade, its at the tip, and although my friend doesnt have the broken off piece anymore, my guess is that it's close to a 1/4" chip that broke off, perhaps a bit more.
Well i guess thats what he gets for prying stuff open with it

*edit*forgot to mention that i dont own a grinder of anykind, the mishap was during my schooling as a machinist
