Dennis (Osprey Guy) posted a while back about Travers Tool Co. and what a great catalog they offer. Being a catalog nut, I ordered mine and have since been receiving sales flyers, etc. from them.
I was just thumbing through the latest when I came across a set of hardness testers for... $49.99!!!!!!!!
I bought mine from a knife supply company some time ago for more than twice that! (no, I'm not too happy about that) It looks to be the same brand and I'll check tonight. But either way, a good deal. If someone heat treats their own blades and cannot afford a RC tester, this would be the way to go. Not as accurate, but within 5 points.
