I hope to see some of you at the Professional Knifemakers Association show here in Denver, this weekend. Follow this link for event details:
http://www.proknifemakers.com/ I'll be the official photographer for the show and would love to photograph knives for you and for the various publications.
For proof of why it's important to have your knives photographed, look no further than the new
500 KNIVES book and note all the makers who
missed out because they were unable to submit professional photographs for judging and possible inclusion. Makers had to submit and photographers were
not allowed to submit on the maker's behalf. The reality is that every knife selected for that book was accepted or rejected based on the photograph alone. If you ponder that for just a moment I think you'll see my point.
Look for these posters at the show to find the room in which I'll be photographing. The knives on the posters are ones I photographed at this show last year. Collectors who purchase knives at the show can get them photographed for the maker if they choose, or even bring knives out of their collection for me to shoot at the show. Come on by!
